Oldham Council’s cabinet will meet on Monday 24th June to approve the borough’s new housing strategy, following a period of consultation with a wide range of stakeholders and residents. Forming part of a new town centre vision, the strategy includes an emphasis on building homes in Oldham town centre, improving conditions in the private rented sector and focusing development on brownfield sites wherever possible to avoid undue pressure on the greenbelt.
