At Cabinet on Monday 24th June Oldham’s new Local Improvement Fund was approved, creating a fantastic new opportunity for councillors and residents looking for investment to fund transformational projects across the borough.

Bringing together and expanding previous district-level funds, the new pot will allow larger grants to be made, making a real difference where previously only smaller projects could be supported.

Projects will be appraised by an advisory group made up of councillors from Labour and the opposition Liberal Democrats, before receiving final approval from a sub-committee of Cabinet.

There are already a range of projects in the pipeline, so don’t delay if you have an idea that you’d like to pursue. For more information about the fund and to apply, contact your local councillor.
