Following a commitment from Oldham Labour in the 2019 manifesto, play streets have arrived in the borough! It is now possible for residents to close their street down for a 3-4 hour period to create a safe, car free play space for local children (and bigger kids) to get together, play out and have fun.

Part of our work to both encourage Oldham youngsters to get active and to bring communities together, the play streets initiative will open up our neighbourhoods like they were years ago.

Delivered with the support of Oldham Play Action Group, Play Streets are really easy to organise and the first ones have been great fun!
