In the last few weeks a number of Oldham schools have been celebrating following excellent Ofsted results.

At the end of May Friezland Primary School in Greenfield made a big jump, moving from Requires Improvement to Good, a massive achievement for all involved.

Then Northmoor Academy in Coldhurst got its first Ofsted report since opening, with it also achieving a Good rating. Inspectors commended Northmoor for the work it does to include and celebrate pupils from a huge number of backgrounds, many of whom don’t speak English as a first language.

Finally, and most recently, Kingfisher Special School in Chadderton has received another Outstanding Ofsted rating, with inspectors raving about the fantastic work the school does to shape their teaching around the particular needs of each student.

Well done to all!
