At a meeting of Oldham’s Labour Group on Monday 17th May 2021, councillors endorsed the letter from Lisa Nandy MP to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, calling on him to:

• demand an end to the forced evictions of Palestinians in East Jerusalem
• insist that sacred sites of all faiths are treated with the utmost respect
• insist upon the immediate halt to all new settlements and adherence to international law
• accept the need to recognise Palestine as a state.
