Oldham Labour will deliver:

  • for residents – putting residents first with a £3m cost-of-living package, improving customer service and investing in the schemes and frontline services residents want us to – like our hugely successful Don’t Trash Oldham campaign to keep Oldham green and take action against those who don’t
  • for children and young people – investing nearly £15m in Children’s Services to make sure our children and young people get the support they need
  • a vibrant and sustainable future – for Oldham Town Centre giving Tommyfield Market a new home, building a new event space and over time 2,000 new homes; making Oldham the Greenest Borough including a solar farm at Wrigley Head, the Green Shoots Centre and the urban farm at Northern Roots

Councillor Amanda Chadderton, Leader of Oldham Labour Group said ‘Labour is the only party with a clear vision for the future of the town and the will to get the job done. We came out fighting from the pandemic determined to build a better Oldham for us all. Labour has and will put residents first. I’m proud of Labour’s ‘We can help’ offer which has helped people to heat their homes and put food on the table and will be funded again next year. Oldham’s Tories would take this help away from those who need it most. Labour has invested the money to support our children and young people including giving foster carers one of the best deals in the North West. And you can see the difference on the ground. The Eqyptian Room food court will be open later in 2023. A new home for Tommyfield Market is being built. Oldham Town Centre is having a makeover. Royton Town Hall and Library are being restored and refurbished. Northern Roots is growing and buzzing.’

Oldham Labour is standing in every ward in the Borough elections. These are elections for every seat on Oldham Council following a boundary review.
